(Ref: CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS, Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, dated for January 30, 1980, reads as follows:
JOHN D. SNEED

Graveside services for John Davis Sneed, 66, 404A N. Mesa St., were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Carlsbad Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Drake of Church of God officiating. Sneed died Thursday evening in his home.

He was an iron worker and worked in the Southwest out of El Paso, Texas. He came to Carlsbad in 1945 and retired about 12 years ago.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Raab of St. Louis, Mo. and Sue Swayze of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one brother, Joe Sneed of Grover, Okla., 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
