Peggy Ann (Scott) Caldwell, 86, of Forest, Indiana, died at 2:34 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She was born April 23, 1925 to Eathel L. and Ola A. (Crecraft) Scott. On June 27, 1942 she was married to Charles W. Caldwell, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2011.
Peggy attended Forest High School. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and former president of Missionary Society, Russiaville O.E.S. #130, Russiaville Ladies Auxiliary to the Veteran of Foreign Wars, former Chairman of Clinton County Red Cross Gray Ladies, Director of Clinton County Red Cross representing Forest Twp., Former President of Forest Home Demonstration Club, Volunteer at Milner Healthcare, Clinton County Republican Women's Club, and Vise committeewoman of Forest Twp. For 42 years.
She is survived by a son, B.J. (Clare) Caldwell of Forest; three grandchildren, Christi (Dean) Kelly of Battleground, Kirk (Marla) Caldwell of Forest, Constance (Bill) Piwtorak of Dublin, OH., great grandchildren Ian and Partick Kelly, Battleground, Allison (Chase) Richardson, Flora, Lincoln Caldwell, Forest, Ryan and Avery Young, Dublin, OH., and Bryce Piwtorak, Dublin, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Lewis B. Scott; and a sister, Bonnie Lou Scott
Private Funeral services were held Sunday 11/13/2011 at Stout and Son Funeral Home, Russiaville Chapel, 200 East Main St. Russiaville, with Pastor Dale Brittain officiating.
