Services for Hildred Alford were held Sunday, July 24, 2011, at 2 p.m. from North Bend United Pentecostal Church.

The Rev. James Kilgore, II and the Rev. A. M. Mansfield officiated. Burial followed in North Bend Pentecostal Cemetery under the direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mrs. Alford, 92, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at home.

She was a member of Christian Life Apostolic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom B. Alford and son, Wayne Alford.

Survivors include daughters, Willie Faye Anthony and Janet Fulton, both of Philadelphia, Nellie Cooksey of Meridian, Peggy Jordan of Moss Point, Nancy Kilgore and Rachel Russell, both of Houston, Texas; sons, Sonny Alford of Louisville, Rev. Benny Alford of DeKalb, Larry Alford and John Alford, both of Philadelphia and Joel Alford of Grand Bay, Ala.; 32 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mable Daniels of Philadelphia and Edna McDonald of Monroe, La.
