Musician, Motion Picture Film Editor. A former saxophone player in one of the Meyer Davis Orchestra, he worked as a musician in vaudeville until 1930. He joined Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios as a short subjects motion picture cutter and worked his way up to one of the top editors of the company, editing fifty three films from 1933 to 1956 (including "Forbidden Passage," "Johnny Eager," "Ziegfeld Follies," "Summer Stock," "Brigadoon" and "Meet Me in Las Vegas"). He was nominated for an Oscar for his editing work on 1956's "Somebody Up There Likes Me." (bio by: TLS)
