| Birth: | Jan. 24, 1911 | | Death: | Sep. 2, 1982 |  World War II Victoria Cross Medal Recipient. He served as a Sergeant in the 23rd Battalion of the 2nd Canterbury Regiment. At Maleme, Crete, during the dates of May 20 to 28, 1941, Sergeant Hulme, stalked and killed 33 German snipers. During the same time frame on the outskirts of Galatos, he also disguised himself as a German paratrooper and killed a number of enemy.
