John Nathan-Turner
Birth: Aug. 12, 1947
Death: May 1, 2002

British Television Producer. Served as Producer of Doctor Who, the longest running continuous sci-fi series to date, from 1979 to the shows cancellation in 1989. Born and raised in Birmingham, he was a stage manager and actor at the Everyman theatre in Chelmsford before going to work with the BBC. He maintained his interest in Dr. Who well after its cancellation, producing special programming and writing books. He was buried in Brighton, where he lived for many years with his partner Gary Downie. (bio by: Nimir-Ra)

both jnt and gary's ashes were scattered where the memorial stone in the picture is located, St Margarets Church in Rottingdean, England, very near their home
