William Harry Winegardner, 68, of Huntingdon, died Sunday August 19 at 10:20 a.m. in Alfarata, Mifflin County, after a ten day illness. He had been a farmer in Fulton county most of his life.

Born July 28, 18888, in Clear Ridge, he was the son of the late John and Louisa Miller Winegardner. He was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife Verna Chilcote Winegardner, a son Dallas, of Alfarata, and three daughters, Mrs. Fred Kyper, of Everett, Mrs. George Brown, of Saxton, Mrs. Raymond Foster, of Huntingdon, 12 grandchildren, and a brother, Robert, and sister, Mrs. Ambrose Brown, both of Clear Ridge.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Clear Ridge Methodist church with Rev. Herman Stenger officiating, assisted by Rev. Homer Lingenfelter. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
