Henry had worked on many ranches in and around the country when he was younger but in his later years he had worked mostly on construction until taken ill in June of 1971; after which he spent most of his time at home, until July of 1976 when he had to be placed in a nursing home where he remained until his death.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, of the family home in Douglas; two sons David of Casper and Richard of Douglas; and one granddaughter Billie Jo of Casper. Also surviving are two brothers: Ted of Lusk and John of Harrison, Neb.; five sisters, Millie Zimmerman, Hilda Eberspecher, Alma Henry, Bertha Parsons, and Fern Bourret, all of Harrison, Nebr.; also numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Charlie, Johnnie, Chris, Frank and Tom.
