Also an accomplished guitartist and songwriter, Kenny wrote "Call Me Gone," "Ain't That What It's All About," and "Desperation." He won the Favorite Male Vocalist of the year in 1976 and 1988 awarded by the "Singing News." He was also voted as the "Entertainer of the Millineum" in 2000 by the Country Gospel Music Association.
