He is the son of Clayton Gallant Sr. and Beatrice (St. Laurent) Gallant and the grandson of Mathias St. Laurent and Victorine (Ritchotte) St. Laurent.

WEST SPRINGFIELD - Clayton J. Gallant Jr., 55, of Herman St., a senior master sergeant technician at Westover Air Force Base, died yesterday at Mercy Hospital, Springfield.
He previously was an eight-year Air Force veteran and had served at Westover for 31 years.
Born in Worcester, he had lived in Springfield for 30 years.
He was a member of the The West Springfield-Agawam Lodge of Elks and a communicant at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
He leaves his wife, the former Helga M. Joschko; a son, Erik A. Gallant, and a daughter, Diana M. Gallant, both of West Springfield, and brother, Barry D. Gallant, of Saco, Maine.
Full military funeral Saturday morning at Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home and in the church with burial in the parish cemetery. The Elks conducts the ritual Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions made to the Leukemia Society of America, Springfield MA.

Ritual conducted by the The West Springfield Agawam Lodge of Elks. Donation to the Leukemia Society of America, Springfield MA.
