Albert Renke
Services were Wednesday, November 20, at Lodi Funeral Home, Lodi, California, for Albert Otto Renke, 80, Lodi, who died Sunday, November 17, at a Lodi convalescent hospital.
He was born October 26, 1911, in American Falls, Idaho.
Mr. Renke moved to La Salle in 1921. In 1933, he married Martha Reck in La Salle. They continued to live in La Salle until 1952 when they moved to Lodi. He had worked as a machinist for 25 years at Supermold. After retiring in 1973, he spent nine years as a courier for Farmers and Merchants Bank.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he had served as deacon for 25 years. He enjoyed golfing.
Mr. Renke was preceded in death by two grandsons.
Survivors are his wife, Martha of Lodi; two daughters, Betty Krueg and Carol Mertz, both of Lodi; a son, Marvin of Sacramento, California; a sister, Frieda Mertz of Galt, California; a brother, William of Colorado; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Cherokee Memorial Park.
