-Wm's father: Lyman Dunbar [1800-1884] was 12 yrs old when a teamster in the War of 1812. Lyman's father, Daniel Dunbar (name may have been Warren Daniel) was supposedly killed in battle during War of 1812.
-Wm's maternal grnftr, Ezekial Merrit was a Rev. War soldier of CT.
