Walter "Ed" Ray of Granbury, a security guard, died Thursday, November 11, 1999 in Granbury. He was 69.

Mr. Ray was born January 23,1930 in Novice, Texas.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Ray married Jo Ann Miller, February 4, 1956 in Fort Worth.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #601 and First Baptist Church in Thorp Spring.

Mr. Ray worked for Tri-County Electric for 17½ years and had worked for 13 years as a security guard for Pecan Plantation.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Ray of Granbury; three daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie and Don Ellingson and Lynn and Jesse Garza all of Granbury, and Trina and Andy Wartes of Lipan; four brothers, Cecil Ray, Alfred Ray, Lester Ray and Ronald Ray; two sisters, Grace Killingsworth and Opal Henson; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Services were Saturday, November 13, 1999 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was at Holly Hills Memorial Park. Rev. Daniel Brandt officiated.
