Montgomery of this city occurred Sunday, services being conducted at the First M.E. church, under the auspices of North Vernon Masonic and Oddfellows lodges, to both of which Mr. Montgomery belonged. Burial at Vernon. It will be remembered by our readers that he was injured on Tuesday of last week while working with a B&O concrete gang near Dillsboro by a heavy piece of timber falling from a pile driver and striking him on the head, the injury resulting in his death Thursday evening. He leaves a wife and three little children."
