US Congressman. In 1896, he was elected to fill the US Representative seat vacated by the death of his father Charles Frederick Crisp. He served then until 1897. He was the parliamentarian of the House of Representatives for several terms. He was then elected again as a US Representative from Georgia and served almost two decades (1913-1932).
