MARION - R. Legrande Williams died this morning at his home.
He was born at Nichols, July 12, 1884, a son of the late J. B. and Lucy Ellen Jones Williams. He was cashier of the Citizens Bank of Marion, having been connected with that institution since it was organized 24 years ago, and was active in the First Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at the home on Godbold Street at 4 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. T. M. Godbold, his pastor, the Rev. Julius E. Clark of Mullins, a former pastor, and the Rev. A. F. Ragan, Methodist district superintendent. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
Besides his widow, the former Louise Lambert of Marion, he is survived by a brother, J. E. Williams of Elizabethtown, N.C.; and two sisters, Misses Eulee and Norine Williams of Nichols.
