COLUMBIA, Quentin, 92, husband of Frieda Hornsby Columbia, died Thurs. Nov. 3, 2011.
Born April 14, 1919 in Midway, he was the son of the late Charles and Jessie Hatfield Columbia. Mr. Columbia, a Christian by faith, was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, and a retired Chief of Office Operations for the VA Hospital.
Survivors other than his wife include a son, Larry H. (Linda) Columbia, Louisville, KY; two daughters, Teresa (Greg) Stahr, Lawrenceburg, KY and Greta (Dale) Herr, Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren, Lisa Columbia, Amy Goodenough, Jeff Stahr, Emily Malone, Anna Rueff, and Matt Herr; four great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Hayes, of Lexington, KY; and special friends from Harrodsburg Rd. McDonalds.
There will be visitation on Tues., Nov. 8, from 11:30 am until time of the memorial service at 12:30 pm at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
