Dallas attended Payne and Jefferson Country Schools and graduated from Rosalie High School in 1948.
On June 4, 1950, he married his high school sweetheart, Phyllis Nelson, in the United Methodist Church in Rosalie, Nebraska. They have lived most of their lives on a farm seven miles east of Lyons. They had five children: Paul, Judy, Bill, Janet and Max.
Dallas enjoyed farming, family gatherings, play cards, Husker football, music--especially Lawrence Welk, and fishing at the cabin in Minnesota. He also enjoyed traveling and cruises.
He was a member and served on the board at Divide Center Presbyterian Church and Divide Center Country School.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, LaVerne Pyer; brothers, Wayne, Donald and Wesley.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis of rural Lyons; two daughters, Judy (Dennis) Fleischman of Tekamah, NE, Janet (Royce) Jeffries of Waverly, NE; three sons, Paul Anderson of Topeka, KS, Bill (Rhonda) Anderson of Harlan, IA, Max Anderson of Rosalie; two brothers, Gary (Barb) Anderson of Omaha, NE, Tom (Sheri) Anderson of Norfolk, NE; eight grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Claudine Anderson of Lyons, Tresa Anderson of San Marcus, CA and Betty Anderson of LaVerne, CA.
FUNERAL SERVICE: Monday, October 31, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Rosalie, Nebraska.
VISITATION: Sunday, October 30, from 6 - 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 - 8 p.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Lyons. Visitation will be held Monday at the church one hour prior to the service.
BURIAL: Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, Nebraska
