Funeral services will be at November 3, at First Baptist Church in Teague with Rev. Darrel Beggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born on June 1, 1921, in Teague, to Mable Emma Long and Joe Clyde Millender, Sr.
Jaynne graduated from Teague High School in 1939 and attended the University of Texas (NTAC) in Arlington, Texas. She won the U.S. National Baton Twirling Championship, was a drum major and marched in the New York City Macy's parade. She was a model, nurse and ballerina.
Jaynne was the founder of Meals-On-Wheels in Dallas and devoted herself to her family, church and community throughout her life. She helped many people and faithfully fulfilled the church's teachings to feed the poor, visit the sick and bury the dead. Jaynne was former president of the Woman's Forum of Dallas, a member of the Freestone County Historical Society, the Freestone County Genealogy Society, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the First Baptist Church of Teague and the Railroad Association of Freestone County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles LeRoy Mabry, Sr.; siblings, Catherine Millender Sawyer, Mazine Millender Geppert and Jodie Millender Murphy.
She is survived by her second husband, West Moreland Branche; brother, Joe Clyde Millender, Jr. and wife, Jackie; children, Yolanda Janette Mabry, Dorinda Annette Mabry, Charles LeRoy Mabry and wife, Mary Miller; grandchildren, Helen Catherine Mabry Byars, Charles LeRoy Mabry, III, Laura Elizabeth Nolan and Mathew Zachary Nolan; great-granddaughter, Adrienne Brynne Mabry Byars.
Pallbearers will be Charles Mabry, III, Joe Clyde Millender, III, Randy Millender, Mathew Nolan, Chick Williams and Justin Bounds.
