Born in Bartow County on July 13, 1945, he was the son of the late Ossie Sloan Knox and the late Goldie Jane Hardin Knox.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Timothy Shawn Knox; his brother, Joe Knox and his sister, Hazel Chastain.
Frank is a member of Millers Chapel Full Gospel Church and was a retired electrician. He enjoyed going to the mountains especially during the apple season. He loved riding horses, gardening and canning fresh vegetables.
He is survived by his children, Shane Knox and Beverly Michelle Knox; his siblings, Irene Myrick, Betty Cothran and Zack Knox; his grandchildren, Kylie Madison Knox, Bryant Shane Knox and Dakota Martin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Millers Chapel Church Cemetery in White.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby Knox, Jimmy Cothran, Byron Chastain, Chad Knox, Denton Knox and Gary Knox.
