Obit. HOLLY TALKINGTON DIES AT HOSPITAL
Holly Talkington; 86, 2251 Wallace avenue, a resident of Columbus for 60 years, died at 4:50 o'clock this morning at the county hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Pearl Smith Talkington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Barkes and Inlow funeral home by Dr. T.K. Smith with burial at Garland Brook cemetery.
The casket will be open at the funeral home after 10 o'clock Sunday morning until time of services Monday afternoon.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Monte Henderson of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Mrs. Etta Lambert of Edgewood. A daughter, Mrs. Veda Miller, preceded him in death in 1954.
Mr. Talkington was born March 29, 1873, in Clifford, the son of the late Phillip and Betty Stricklen Talkington. He was a member of the East Columbus Church of Christ and the local Carpenter's union. In early life he was employed as a carpenter at Heagy and company and later was associated with Dunlap and company until his retirement in 1949.
