H. Harold Harshman, 70, Route 6 Lafayette, a farmer, died unexpectedly at his home southwest of Mulberry at 5:45 Monday morning. He was loading hogs on a stock truck when he suffered a heart attack.

He was born in Clinton County on August 11, 1899 to Frank and Laura Wesner Harshman. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ of Mulberrry, and a member of the Mulberry Masonic Lodge No. 618.

He was married to Miss Edna Yundt on Dec. 31, 1919, who survives with two sons, Robert L. Harshman, Route 6 Lafayette, and Dr. James A. Harshman of Kokomo; one sister, Mrs. Freda Rutan, Route 6 Lafayette; and seven grandchildren. A brother, Dr. Martin L. Harshman, died in December 1955.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Mulberry with the Rev. Gerhardt Schmidt officiating. Burial was in Fair Haven Cemetery.
