Sarah Ann was the d/o King Peter Gunter and Mary Ann Martin.
She married George English Cowger 15 Oct 1879 in Galatia Twp. at the home of her sister Mrs. Wm Knight.
Sarah and George had four children:
Loran Webster Cowger b. 12 Nov 1881 Saline co.IL
Leonard King Cowger b. 25 Jan 1884 Saline Co. IL
Laymon Monroe Cowger b. 4 Jun 1887 Saline Co. IL
Effie Ethel Cowger b. 22 Apr 1890 Thompsonville, Franklin Co. IL

George and Sarah both probably died before 1900.
So far family researchers have yet to find any documents to prove or disprove this.

Dottie McCormick, "Mom told me that her mother died when she was nine years old, and her dad died within the year from a broken heart." (Dottie is the daughter of Ethel (Cowger) Patterson.)

Sarah's stone is worn completely smooth, so I was not able to take in information from it.
