Funeral services for Lavinia Z. Stevens, 77, will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Herman Elliott officiating, with interment in Mt. Zion Nazarene Cemetery in Blount County.
Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stevens passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011 at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Lee and Earl Ida Bentley Thomas and her husband, George N. Stevens.
She is survived by 4 children, Elizabeth (Keith) Hughes; Ida Ruth Kirby, George (Carol) Stevens, Jr. and Richard Stevens; sister, Dicie (Harold) Freeman; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
