Ida was born to George Henry Elligsen(1854-1941) and Katherine(Zeller) Elligsen(1862-1936). They lived in the Stafford area. They had 4 more children: Laura Minnie(Elligsen)Gross(1887-1980), Edward August(1897-1994),Rosena Christine(1892-1984), and William Frederick(1885-1963).
Ida married Herman August Peter on 18 May 1921 in Vancouver, Washington. They had 2 sons: Alvin Charles(1925-1992) and Herman "Fritz" Peter Jr.(1927-1998).
They lived in Willamette, Clackamas County, Oregon. Her sister, Rosena, lived 3 blocks from her. They were always close. Rosena never married.
Alvin gave them 4 grandchildren: Judy Ray, Janet Kay, Jeri Rose and Jimmy Allen. Herman and his wife, Verla, never had any children.

IDA L. PETER
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Holman-Hankins-Bowker & Waud Dec. 5, 1985, for Ida L. Peter, 95, of West Linn. Mrs. Peter died Dec.2 1985, in her home. Born in Stafford on Sept.1, 1890, Mrs. Peter was a homemaker and a charter member of Meridian United Church of Christ. She lived her entire married life in the home she and her husband built, and preferred having her hometown called "Frog Pond". She is survived by two sons, Alvin and Herman, both of West Linn; a brother, Edward Elligsen of Stafford; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Willamette United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery.
