One of eight children of Louis August and Lillian Jane Kerber Brucker, he married Patricia Ann Meyer 18 Jan 1958.
They had two children.

BAYLES LAKE, LODA - Ronald J. Brucker, 80, of Bayles Lake, Loda, died Monday (June 16, 1997) at Carle Foundation Hosptial, Urbana.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rosary recited at 8 p.m., at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Paxton.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. James Heramb at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Loda, where he was a member.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cropsey Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to his church, the Loda EMS, or to the donor's choice.

He was born Dec. 8, 1916 at rural Cropsey, the son of Louis A. and Lillie A. Kerber Brucker. He was a 1934 graduate of Cropsey High School and attended Brown's Business College, Normal. He also attended Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute in Chicago
Mr. Brucker was employed by C.W. Hicks Corporation, Roberts, for 53 years, working as a transport driver, then a dispatcher. He later became vice president-general manager, retiring in 1990. He was involved in all phases of the operation.
He served five years in the U.S. Army, stationed mainly in the European Theatre. He was a member of the Loda American Legion Post, the Rantoul Moose, a longtime member of the Elks Club, and a former member of the Lakeview Country Club in Loda.

Surviving are his wife, the former Patricia A. Meyer, whom he married Jan. 18, 1958 at St. Rose Church, Strawn; one son, Randall of Buckley; one daughter Paula Wade of Gardner; five grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy Kerchenfaut of Gibson City, Norene Brandt and Josephine Cooperider, both of Fairbury, and Virginia Taylor of Heber Springs, Ark.; three brothers, Lawrence Brucker of Cropsey, Lyle Brucker of Fairbury and Bernard Brucker of Colfax.
