Boston life and summers spent in Maine was her life with her family of origin: one full sister, Amy, a half sister, Capitola and half brother Fernandize. A natural performer she enjoyed acting in plays. Her father died in 1910, then the entire family moved to Seattle. She at 5'2" and John sy 6'1", a US Marine, met in church one day. He was awed by 'song bird', Teddie hearing her sing a solo in church.
They married when she was 18 in 1914 and their first born, Sherman Clark was born in 1815. They bought a brick home in Seattle in 1919 and were still living in it in 1925. She had many pregnancies that John didn't want her to carry to delivery. Insisting on carrying a final pregnancy, Gloria Elaine, was born in 1925. After 16 years of marriage Theo and John divorced c. 1930. At that point their son, Sherman, moved to California to live with his father, John Payne. A licensed beautician, Theo owned her own beauty shop off the town square in Arcata, California. About 1944 she married again to Ed Thibault. They lived in Napa, California on Brown's Valley Road. She was a wonderful cook, made memorable dinners and wonderful 'from scratch' cakes. Her house was always immaculate. She kept pets: a canary, a dog "Pinky" and a cat.
Heart problems developed and she died two days after a sudden and massive heart attack at age 52. She was cremated at Tulacay Cemetery in Napa, then the ashes were transferred to the Tacoma Mausoleum in Washington state and interred in her grandmother Annie's niche. Her mother, Sarah, and step-grandfather Garrison are also interred there.
