Roy W. Hammer, 74, of Greenwood, passed away October 29, 2011. He was born March 10, 1937, in Tompkinsville, KY, to the late Frank and Marybelle Murphy Hammer.
Roy was a foreman with Weddle Brothers Construction for 47 years, retiring in 1999 and was member of Calvary Tabernacle.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy L. Visker Hammer; his loving children, Beverly (Wade) Vance, Denise (Corby) Vinci, Timothy (Kelli) Hammer, David Hammer, Richard (Alonia) Hammer; siblings, Opal Gregory, Ronald (Lavena) Hammer, Nelda Strode, Sandy Taylor and Ruby Casey; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A son, Darryl W. Hammer; and a granddaughter, Serenity Hammer, preceded him in death.
