Nancy Catherine "Kate" McDaniel Dameron
Learn about upgrading this memorial...
Birth: Jan. 7, 1842
Missouri, USA
Death: Jul. 22, 1936
Mesa County
Colorado, USA

She married W. S. Dameron on 7 Jan 1890 in Moberly, Randolph, Missouri. Per 1892 Randolph County, Missouri, probate records, Nancy C. Dameron was his widow, so that confirms my suspicion that her husband was William Simeon Dameron (1824-1892) whose first wife died 1888.

Moberly Monitor-Index (Moberly, Missouri) 31 July 1936 Page 4. Mrs. Kate Dameron Dies in Colorado. Final rites will be conducted at 2 o'clock here Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Kate Dameron, 94, sister of J. C. McDaniel, who died last night in Fruita, Colo.
The services will be held at the McDaniel residence, 113 West Third street, with the Reverend James R. Burchfield of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in Union Highland cemetery. A request has been made that no flowers be presented.
Mrs. Dameron succumbed at the home of a sister, Mrs. W. F. Bocking, after a week's serious illness. Death was the result of complications attendant with old age, it was said. She had been in a feeble condition for about the past five years.
Mrs. Dameron had been a resident of Fruita for the past 10 years, moving there from Independence, Kan. She had visited here several times.
Survivors are her brother, J. C. McDaniel of Florence; a sister, Mrs. W. F. Bocking of Fruita; a niece, Mrs. Garth Rumnells of Ordway (sic s/b Runnells); a nephew, C. C. Tedford of Pueblo, and a great-nephew, John Liggett, also of Pueblo.
