St. Cloud Times Sept. 17, 1965, p. 6. SARTELL - Mrs. Philip Weis (Hazle), 75, died Thursday in St. Cloud. She was born Apr. 30, 1890 in Chicago IL. Surviving are her husband and two children: Roland Weis, Sartell and Jack Nichol, Xenia OH. There are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons. She was married July 5, 1921 in St. Louis MO. They moved here in 1932. Mrs. Weis was employed as a clerk at the Post Office here for 20 years retiring in 1955. She was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church and Royal Neighbors. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m from Riverside Presbyterian Church, with burial in Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake MN. Friends may call at Ross-Veeser Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids, after 7 p.m today. The family prefers memorials to Riverside Presbyterian Church.

Rest In Peace, Hazle... as the mother & leader of a Minnesota "Gold Star Family" who lost a son during WW-II; you knew a tragedy most mothers could not even imagine, yet you carried on to honor his memory. You have my undying respect.
