Jan. 17, 1806 Westerly Washington County Rhode Island, USA
Feb. 19, 1888 Vestal Broome County New York, USA
There are two thoughts on this Franklin Babcock. One is that he died in 1862 and is in Beaver Meadows. The Babcock Family seems to think he remarried and lived in Vestal, NY.
Carol Brotzman Beaver Meadows Historian states: Hedy's 2000 book on Beaver Meadows does not list him, nor does her 1987 book that I have. However the 2000 book says he is recognized as a veteran. Hedy Chaffee tried to get him a military stone and was denied. Why I do not know, however there are a few who think he is here.
