Canadian Jurist and Magistrate. A native of Windsor (Nova Scotia), he became a member of the Bar in 1817 and was appointed Assistant Civil Secretary of Lower Canada in 1818. He was a member of the Executive Council of Lower Canada from 1827 to 1841, and he was Judge of the Court of Queen's Bench from 1839 until the time of his death.
