George Shields Davis, 96, of 323 S. Broadway, died Wednesday at the Arkhaven Nursing Home.

Mr. Davis was born April 4, 1887, the son of David and Ardella Grand Davis. He married Naomi Grace Colaw on January 14, 1911, at Cripple Creek, Colo. She died March 26, 1978.

He was a retired engineer for the Frisco Railway and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Mr. Davis was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Rising Sun Lodge No. 8 AF & AM, Fort Scott Scottish Rite Bodies, Mirza Shrine and Olive Chapter No. 13 Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, George W. Davis, 323 S. Broadway; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Konantz Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. John F. Tulk; interment in the Bourbon County Memory Garden.
