Charles Fleischhut
Charles E. Fleischhut of 2047 Mahantongo Street, died Thursday afternoon in Good Samaritan Hospital where he was a patient since Sept 2. He had been injured when struck by a car in Pottsville.
Mr. Fleischhut was born in Pottsville, a son of the late Joseph and Theresa (Schlitzer) Fleischhut. A retired meat cutter, he was last employed by Sherry Beverage Company.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville, the parish Holy Name Society; and the Knights of Saint George.
Surviving are his widow, the former Magdalena E. Schneck; two sisters, Magdalena Fleischhut, Pottsville, and Margaret Fleischhut, Cressona; nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday morning from the Daniel J. Horan Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection in St John's Church. Interment in St. John's No 2 Cemetery.
