OBITUARY
William A. Wright, 68, night watchman and constable, died at his home in that city Monday morning at 7:15 o'clock following six months' illness. He was born August 16, 1868, northeast of Leonard and was a lifelong resident of this county. He moved to Shelbina in 1904 and for many years he was employed with hardware stores there, and at one time operated a meat market.
He was elected constable of Salt Rover township two years ago and was re-elected at the recent election. He had served as night watchman in Shelbina since April, 1935. He was a member of the M. W. A. and Masonic lodges and the Christian church.
He was married in 1890 to Nora Byars and she survives with three children, Mrs. Myrtle Drumheller of Kansas City, Joe of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Edna Wamsley of Cameron; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Wright of Leonard; two brothers, Lon and Pearl Wright of Kirksville; two sisters, Mrs. Brice Caldwell and Mrs. Paul King of Shelbina. Funeral services were held this morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Shelbina Christian church.
