CLARKSVILLE, OH – 4 Oct. 1997 – Woodrow Baker, 84, of 996 South George Road passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, 1997 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio after a long illness.
He was a native of Clay Co., KY & a member of the Church of Christ & the Oneida Masonic Lodge. He was a retired Postmaster & Merchant. Son of the late Alford & Elizabeth Bowling Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie (Robertson) Baker.
He is survived by one daughter, Geneva Frost, Clarksville & 2 sons, Robert Baker, Clarksville & Clenton Baker, South Lebanon, OH. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, & one great-great grandchild; & a sister, Gracie Bishop of North Carolina.
Funeral services were held Monday at 11:00 a.m., Searcy & Strong Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Combs, Rev. Bill Lamb, & Rev. Larry Isaacs officiating.
Burial was at Laurel Point Cemetery, Clay Co., Ky., with Searcy & Strong Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
