Joyce Ann (Stedman) Baker, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania died suddenly on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Uniontown Hospital. She was born in Torrington, Connecticut daughter of Alfred R. Stedman and Catherine Ann (Hannan) Stedman.

She was a member of Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. Joyce graduated from Saint John's High School, Uniontown, Seton Hill University in Greensburg and California University of Pennsylvania. She was a devoted teacher in the Albert Gallatin Area School District where she taught sixth-grade for over thirty-five years.

She is survived by the love of her life, her loving husband, Thomas E. Baker; her stepson, Justin Baker and his wife Amanda; and granddaughters: her precious angels Emma Veronica Baker and Aminah Lee Baker. She is also survived by members of the Stedman, Zukowski, Beyer, and McClen families in Connecticut.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, December 8, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, December 9, 2010 until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, 61 Mill Street, Uniontown, with Msgr. Michael W. Matusak, V. F., Pastor, as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
