US Congressman. Served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Elected to represent Illinois's 3rd District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1955 to 1957. He was defeated in 1956. Also served as a Circuit Judge from 1970 to 1984, Judge of the Illinois Appellate Court from 1986 to 1994.
