Birth: Mar. 20, 1833
Death: Aug. 10, 1905

Simon C Wall one of the oldest and most highly esteemed citizens of Lauramie Township, died at 5:30 o’clock last evening at the family residence, one and a half miles southwest of Clark’s Hill. His death was caused by blood poisoning, which resulted from an ingrowing two-nail. Mr Wall was confined to his home for some time and suffered a great deal. He leaves a widow and eight children, five sons and three daughters. He was a member of the Dunkard church and was a typical representative of that denomination, honest and industrious and in every way a good citizen. He was engaged in farming and was quite successful. He had a wide acquaintance and was honored by all who knew him. He never held a political position and never aspired to anything beyond the happiness and comfort of his own home. The funeral will be conducted tomorrow afternoon and his remains will be followed to the grave by scores of friends who admired him for his noble qualities.
