Birth: Feb. 6, 1895
Onondaga County
New York, USA
Death: Nov. 4, 1956
South Dayton
Cattaraugus County
New York, USA

Harlow Burr Gaylord was the only surviving son of Jehial Adelbert and Emma Cole Gaylord. His youth was spent in Lysander, Onondaga county, New York, where he received a normal education. He worked in the Cattaraugus county area, as a traveling salesman, when he met Isadora Marilla Brown and married.

Later, he purchased the Frahm farm from his wife's family connections. His farm was locally well-known for the best turkeys which could be ready for baking or the table.

A stout man, he developed heart ailments and failed to seek medical attention when he had a severe heart attack while driving home from South Dayton. He hit a large Maple tree head-on, which crushed his chest. He survived three-days before succumbing to his injuries.

He was buried at Randolph Rural Cemetery in a family plot where his widow and middle son, Richard Brown Gaylord, would eventually be interred.
