Minnie Agnes (nee John) Antoon, 88, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2004, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born on November 9, 1915, in Martinsburg, West Virginia, a daughter of Elias Thomas John and Hassoun (nee Koury) John. Deceased was a member of Saint George Maronite Catholic Church.
Her parents, husband, Joseph Ferris "Muggsy" Antoon, brother, Thomas John, and sisters, Mary John Augustine and Sarah John preceded her in death.
She was the beloved Mother of Ferris J. Antoon and his wife Deanna of West Long Branch, New Jersey, and John J. Antoon and his wife Katherine of Uniontown, Pa.; Grandmother of Jeffrey Antoon and his wife Mary Ann and Susan (Antoon) Cousins and her husband Gordon, Philip Antoon, Melissa Antoon, Janet (Antoon) Daugherty and her husband Thomas, John J. Antoon Jr. and Linda Antoon; and Great Grandmother of James Edward Sytko, twins Cody Allen Antoon and Paige Elizabeth Antoon, Isabella Grace Antoon, Seth Gordon Cousins, Christopher Joseph Antoon and Luke Joseph Cousins. She is also survived by a Brother-in-law, Eli Naffah and his wife Evelyn of Brecksville, Ohio; a Sister-in-Law, Marge Ruda of Uniontown, Pa.; and many Nieces and Nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC. AT SYLVAN HEIGHTS CEMETERY, A Dignity Memorial Provider, 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, March 29, until 9:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint George Maronite Catholic Church, Lebanon Terrace, Uniontown, with Rev. Fr. Joseph David as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. The Parish Rosary will be recited in the Funeral Home today at 4 p.m. Ghinnaz Service today at 8 p.m.
