NEW PLYMOUTH -- Services for Merl George Alsop 64, who died of natural causes Saturday at his home, were conducted at 10:30 am Tuesday at the Payette Chapel of the Roses by the Rev Allen Cole of The Friends Church. Interment will be at the Emmett Cemetery.
Born May 1, 1910, at Emmett, he was a retired railroad man and had lived in New Plymouth for 37 years after moving here from Letha, near Emmett. He married Hattie Alice Smith on Oct 3, 1937 in Payette. She died in June of 1971
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs Loren (Jackie) Grout of Boise and Mrs Bill (Mary) Watkins of New Plymouth; and 18 grandchildren.

Merl and Hattie ae buried head to toe, not side by side. Plot locations for the two of them are DeClark 2-104 and DeClark 2-54.
