Funeral services for Mr. Robert Towater, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2005 in the Chapel of Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home with Danny Ray and Chris Smith, ministers officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery in Madison County.
Mr. Towater died Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Madison County son of the late William and Lula DeWitt Towater and was educated in the county schools. Mr. Towater was a retired farmer and landowner and was a member of Sunset View Church of Christ in Spring Creek. He spent his entire life in the Spring Creek Community.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Euda Bailey Towater on September 18, 1994; a sister, Lorene Towater and two brothers, James Monroe Towater and Benny Towater.
Survivors include a son, Roger Towater of Jackson; a nephew, Jimmy Towater of Jackson and a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today at the funeral home.
