Jackie was the youngest child of Henry Leroy Hanes and Susan Ann Thibedeau. Jackie was four months shy of his 3rd birthday when he died of Tubercular Spinal Meningitis.

DEATH CERTIFICATE: Illinois; Cook County, certificate #6005154, filed 21 Feb 1932.

OBITUARY NOTICE: Iroquois County Democrat; Watseka, Illinois. Article dated March 3, 1932. Excerpt "Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haines will be sorry to hear of the death of their little son at a Chicago hospital last week."
