Death: Jun. 11, 1951

Interim Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He was serving as a Boatswain's Mate First Class aboard the USS Missouri when he earned his Medal. His citation reads: For heroism in attempting to rescue from drowning Cecil C. Young, ordinary seaman, 15 September 1904, while serving on board the U.S.S. Missouri. He was awarded the Medal on October 4, 1904. His was one of the 48 Medals of Honor the Navy issued in the Interim Period of 1901-1911. Of the 48 Medals, 46 were Navy and 2 were Marines.  (bio by: Ugaalltheway)
