J. D. Gray, El Dorado Miner, Dies Saturday"
Jefferson David Gray of El Dorado, a lifelong resident of the county, passed away in a local hospital Saturday afternoon, he was 89.
Graveside services were conducted by the Rev. John Dunlop, in El Dorado Cemetery Tuesday.
Born Apr 23, 1863 in Shingle Springs, Gray had been a miner during his active years.
He is survived by a son, Walter Gray of Sacramento; brothers, Sydney P. Gray of El Dorado and Euell Gray of Placerville; sisters, Ella Kipp of Sacramento and Inez Harper of Ione (Amador County, CA)."
