Mrs. Wheeler was born at Steffenville, MO. October 27, 1890, a daughter of Jasper and Lucy Varner Franks. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was married to Jesse Wheeler May 11, 1910, at Coatsburg, Ill.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Goldie Abell of Durham, Mo. and Mrs. Raymond (Iona) Holtgrafe of Rock Island; two sons, Burrell of Lynn Center, Ill., and Otis of St. Petersburg; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Calhoun of Carthage, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
