William LaBell was born to Daniel LaBelle and Rachel Trumbill in Colborne,Ont.,Canada. He had two sisters Ann and Martha Jane. One brother George LaBelle.
He married to times, first wife Elizabeth Tripp married June 30,1887. Then Hannah Rebecca Sweet marred June 13,1906. He came to the U.S. in 1900 where he lived in Jefferson Co.,N.Y.. He worked as a farmer.

Funeral Thursday.

William Henry LaBell, 92, 121 Dorsey street, died at 12:40 Tuesday afternoon at Jefferson county hospital where he had been a patient for the past twelve days.
The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 from the Johnson funeral home, Dexter, with Rev.James E.Spear, pastor of the Dexter, Methodist church officiating. The body will be placed in the vault for later burial at Dexter cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon from 2 to 4 and evening from 7 to 9.
He is survived by two daughters: Mrs.Edgar(Nellie) Rice of Lowville and Mrs.Harold (Nina) Green of the Scenic Highway route; one step-daughter, Mrs.Cassie Salsburg of Glenfield, and a stepson, Robert Kizzer of Dexter, several grandchildern and great-grandchildern.
He was an honorary member of the Orange lodge of Watertown and the Pomona grange of Lowville.
Mr. LaBell was born on Aug.1,1867 at Colburg, Ont., son of William and Rachel Turnbell LaBell. While still living in Canada he married Rebecca Sweet. The couple moved to this country in 1901, coming to Brownville, where Mr. LaBell was employed in the paper mills in Brownville and also Dexter. He later operated a farm on Pillar Point and other places in Jefferson county. Mr. LaBell retired in 1948 living for a time at Mannsville where he was caretaker of the cemetery. He also lived in Lowville, and has lived the past ten years in Watertown. Mrs LaBell died June 9,1950.
