Thomas George Dorson, 71, of East Ridge, TN died on Friday, September 9, 2011.
Mr. Dorson was a longtime member of Brainerd United Methodist Church and the Kingsbury Sunday School Class.
He was a member of Pairs and Spares and Shadow Dancer Square Dancer Clubs.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret Lucille Fickes, Miami, FL; brothers, Donald Lee (Lenore) Dorson, West Kingston, RI and David John (Beverly) Dorson, Hudson, OH; cousin, Norma (Jack) Anderson, Chattanooga, TN and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the sanctuary of Brainerd United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Flaugher officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 AM in the McFerrin Chapel of the church.
Graveside services at Chattanooga National Cemetery will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011, with the Reverend Dr. Dennis Flaugher officiating.
Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Chattanooga, TN.
