C.L. Mulock Died Suddenly Was Out of Danger
With the death of C.L. Mulock last Monday at 7:30 a.m. Estherville has lost another prominent business man and a man who was always boosting for the betterment of the city.

Mr. Mulock was taken to the Holy Family hospital a few hours before his death. While at first his condition was considered serious he seemed to be improving and reports had it he was far better. Complications unforeseen set in and death came with suddenness.

Mr. Mulock took over the Estherville steam laundry some thirty years ago. He had been a tireless worker and the laundry business has become one of the cities better businesses. It has been a prosperous business through fine management.

As for Mr. Mulock's pride in the city he was always a leader for better improvements. He has of late been a booster for a big community building and has spent much time looking over buildings in this part of the country.

He has always been interested in the schools and has served as a very active member of the school board. He was a perfect gentleman and kind and considerate of all. A fine neighbor and well thought of as a business man. He was an active member of the Methodist church.

Clarence Lloyd Mulock was born in Stanberry, Mo., on Jan. 12, 1891. He as a boy received his education in the schools at Sparta, Wis. He came to Estherville in 1918. On Oct. 14, 1913, he was united in marriage to Mable L. Dickey of Goodrich, N. Dak. To this union were four children born.

Mr. Mulock is survived by his widow and daughter. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church at 2:30 on Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. John DeLong officiating. Interment was in the East Side cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, September 9, 1948)
